"All this time, we talk about the main issue in Jakarta just about flooding and traffic jam," he expressed, at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (9/13).

To overcome these various problems, cooperation between the government and residents is needed.

"Since serving in Jakarta, I tried to apply the City 4.0 concept, which is the government as a collaborator and the community as a co-creator," he explained.

He added that the challenges of big cities in ASEAN such as Jakarta are accessibility and justice to alleviate inequality.

Hopefully, 60 participants who attended could be involved actively in formulating policies in their home regions.

"I take a quote of Kofi Annan that says our duty as leaders is to ensure that the people involved are upholding integrity," he expressed.

In the meantime, ASEAN Leaders Program Participant Chairperson, Adirupa Sengupta expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and constructive discussions along with Jakarta Governor.

"I hope this meeting was the beginning to collaborate with the city in alleviating urban issues," he hoped.
